LICSF Year in Review
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (December 19, 2023) – The Long Island Caddie Scholarship Fund had another successful year in 2023. Before we flip the calendar to 2024, we look back on 2023.
The LICSF welcomed its latest class of scholars in the 2023-24 academic year, pushing the total number of scholars currently in college to 83. For the second straight year, the tuition commitment from the fund approached $200,000.
The 2023 edition of the Long Island Caddie Scholarship Fund Marathon was held at Brookville Country Club under beautiful sunny skies. Over $55,000 was raised by the group of golfers, setting a record for the event.
The 22nd LICSF Classic was held at The Seawane Club on a beautiful October day. The low gross winners at 10-under were Jay Sessa, Don Enga, Paul Kotcher, and Dan Goldstein. John Guyton, Brad Matthews, Jeff Callihan, and Jim Tomlin took home the low net honors with a 13-under total.
Since its inception in 1962, the LICSF has awarded close to $5,000,000 and helped over 930 Long Island young scholars with the cost of higher education. Be sure to follow the LICSF on social media on X @LICSF and on Instagram @LI_CSF.
