The 7th Annual LICSF Golf Marathon took place at Garden City Country Club on Monday, August 27, 2018 as well as a satellite marathon held at Rockaway Hunting Club on Monday, August 13, 2018. With the support of marathoners and donors, this year’s event was a huge success with contributions projected to total over $60,000! Players raced through the picturesque landscape of Garden City Country Club and battled extreme heat, while participants at Rockaway Hunting Club weathered torrential rain in hopes of playing as many holes as possible from sun up to sun down. Participants included local area caddie managers, caddie scholar alumni, as well as Friends of the Fund who are members at CSF member clubs.

Golfers played a combined 618 holes, but at the end of the day nobody completed more holes than our leaders Brian Mahoney and Team MGA who finished a combined 204 holes. Joe Saladino (Huntington CC) and Patrice Franco (EWGA), added an impressive 144 and 126 holes respectively.  The leading fundraiser with a remarkable amount of contributions exceeding $30,000 was Ron Brescio (Rockaway Hunting), as well as Brian Mahoney (MGA) who helped raise over $17,000.
