Scholarships

Applications for the 2025-2026 academic year are OPEN.

The deadline for applications is May 15, 2025.


Scholars who are currently receiving a LICSF scholarship are required to submit a renewal application before the next academic year.

Renewals for the 2025-26 academic year will open in May 2025.

LICSF Scholarships

LICSF Scholarship awards cover up to 4 years of undergraduate study or for study at an accredited trade school. After the initial award, students submit annual transcripts and class schedules showing that they are continuing their education and renewal checks are issued.

Eligibility

Applicants must demonstrate financial need, have been accepted at or currently attend an accredited school, and have two years experience as a caddie or other role in service to golf, including working in the golf shop, bag room, practice range, or golf course. The applicant must be recommended by a representative of the member club where they work.

Jay Mottola Scholarship

The Jay Mottola Scholarship (JMS) is a significant scholarship, available for four years of undergraduate study. In collaboration with the local CSFs, the MGAF and JMS Committee will identify and invite top candidates to submit an essay; finalists will then be interviewed and the award recipient selected.  The MGA Foundation and area Caddie Scholarship Funds are thrilled to work together to honor and continue Jay’s lasting impact on caddies and the game we all love.
